We are thrilled to be adding another prestigious award to our trophy cabinet!
Our latest addition comes from The Perth Airport Tourism Awards, where The House of Honey has been recognized with the Silver Award for Tourism Hire and Retail Services.
Awarded to business that make a significant contribution to the tourism industry through their retail and hire services, this award is a true testament to our mission to help expand West Australia’s tourism profile – and educate visitors from around the globe on pure honey and sustainable beekeeping.
Announced at the Gala Event at Crown Perth, the evening’s celebrations saw over 70 businesses receive accolades for their impact on the WA Tourism Industry. Recognizing excellence in the tourism industry for over 50 years, it is no small feat to be awarded a finalist position – let alone take home the silver!
Not only are we committed to making a significant contribution to our local tourism industry within the Swan Valley, but we are doubling down on our efforts to provide a more inclusive, and accessible experience for visitors. This was recently acknowledged when we won the ‘Excellence in Accessibility and Inclusion’ award at the City of Swan business awards – something we are incredibly proud of. We hope that this will help pave the way for other local tourism businesses to factor in better inclusion efforts so that more visitors can safely and comfortably enjoy a day trip in the Swan Valley.
Here at the House of Honey, we offer a unique and immersive honey and bee experience, with free honey tasting, mead tasting, educational observation hive and variety of workshops and tours. Our buzzing shop – stocking over 15 varieties of premium WA honey, gifts, beeswax and more – as well as onsite café is a much-loved Swan Valley destination that draws in tourists from across the globe.
Owned by Kim and Rupert Phillips, The House of Honey combines the retail of 100% pure WA honey with their passion for beekeeping and is open 7 days a week from 10am – 5pm. Come by and visit us!
