Our Community

Giving back is what we're about: to our environment, the bees, local communities, and our chosen charities. We are trying to BEE the change that the WA Apiculture and Honey industry needs.

Profit donations

1% of honey sales goes towards a national fund (Australian Honeybee Council) to support bee research and development, biosecurity programs, and emerging pest and disease responses. We are also part of the Container for Change Deposit scheme, donating all of our yield to The Wheen Bee Foundation.

Teddybear Honey

$1 of all sales of Honeybear honey is donated to Free The Bears Inc. which tackles the illegal wildlife trade for bears that have been mistreated in bile farms. We support their vision for a world where all animals and insects are considered an integral part of the natural environement and are not exploited or abused.

Free The Bears

Community Support

The House of Honey staff support the annual Honey Festival which is a non-for-profit organization providing the community with support in beekeeping, biosecurity, honey, and beeswax.

Bee Surveillance

We are partnered with the Australian Government's National Bee Pest Surveillence Program with a sentinel hive on site. We play a key part in providing early warning systems to detect bee pests and diseases in the Swan Valley and beyond.

Annual Honey Industry Levy

The House of Honey pays an Annual Honey Industry Levy to the Australian government by honey packers/ sellers based on kilograms produced. The levy helps finance furthering the wellbeing of the Australian beekeeping industry and biosecurity.

Kanyana Wildlife Support

We are regular donators to Kanyana Wildlife, a local not-for-profit rehabilitation centre dedicated to wildlife conservation. Kanyana is set in a beautiful national park surrounded by Jarrah forest in the Perth Hills - part of our local environment we are passionate about protecting.
