School Incursions

An educational experience teaching the important role of bees in Australia, pollination, Western Australian honey and how the hive works. All brought to your school, daycare or education facility!

$18 per student - Minimum of 36 students
60 minute run time

What we cover:

• Presentation on bees including beehive and beekeeper's suit demonstrations - no bees involved!
  
• See the anatomy of bees under the microscope
• All things pollination 
  
• How bees make honey
• Honey tasting and profiling experience
  
• Handmade beeswax candle rolling activity - for students to take home
• Q&A with prize

A fantastic way to support educational and curriculum targets on the subjects of bees and insects, pollination, sustainability and culinary studies.

Educational Facility Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 classes (18 students per class)
• Students pre-allocated into 3 groups
• Area available and set up for presenting
• Enough tables and chairs for breakout areas
